Bristol City Council recognised that many schools had vacancies on their Boards of Governors.
They also identified a shortage of people on those Boards who had current experience of the business world.
We were engaged to write a handbook for all Governors, but specifically to attract people from the world of commerce who could bring their know how to bear on schools and to improve standards.
Core Strategy for Bath & NE Somerset
It was a long and sometimes complex process, but vitally important for business, that the number of jobs and houses were sufficiently ambitious for the future prosperity of the district and make it capable of significant economic growth.
The outcome puts Bath and North East Somerset in a good position to compete locally, nationally and globally, with an shortly to be electrified rail line which will attract more business through the refurbished transport terminal.
