After taking a degree in History at Oxford, Ian trained as a journalist on a major provincial newspaper before spending twenty years with the BBC, first as Producer, News Editor and Programme Organiser in Local Radio and later as Chief Producer with Network Radio, devising and producing BBC feature programmes such as the famous history series, What if …?
Battling with the Past, Hindsight, Bus Stop and Case History for BBC Radio 4 to name but a few. Meanwhile on Radio 2 he also told the history of a hundred years of recordings from EMI in Groovin’ with Alan “Fluff” Freeman and discovered everything you ever needed to know about tea in Cuppa with Kathy Staff of Nora Batty fame from Last of the Summer Wine.

Sandy’s career has been varied, from sales and marketing, graphic design and a keen artist, to communications and public relations. Ten years with BBC Network Radio as both Researcher and Broadcast Assistant, one time Archivist for “The Archers” and the Producer of a number of programmes for BBC Radio 1, 3 and 4.
For almost ten years Sandy and Ian and Tintinna Limited are proud to say that have been contracted to manage and deal with all representation and communications for the Bath Chamber of Commerce and also its strategic arm, The Initiative in B&NES on behalf of Business West.
